First Horse Ride

So we went to a "western" themed birthday party for Amaya yesterday. She was turning ONE and had her birthday party on her Granny's Ranch in El Cajon. The boys enjoyed dressing up like a Cowboy, Sheriff Woody (from Toy Story) to be exact. They have both been a bit obsessed with Toy Story lately so it was perfect for them to go with the Western theme.

Their highlight of the day was going on their first horse ride. Not a pony ride...but a HORSE! They got a chance to ride the family horses and take a ride around the ranch. They loved it. Surprising Konnor did so well. Kameron was not afraid at all! He didn't even want us to help him, although I felt better if Kevin followed along next to him. As we celebrate our 5 year anniversary...

Today marks the day of our 5  year anniversary. On this day 5 years ago Kevin and I declared our love and dedication in front of our closest friends and family in San Diego, CA. After over 20 years of friendship and after over 3 years of dating we got married! It was the perfect wedding. With a year of preparation, the day had finally come. I remember every detail of my wedding plans and how it all played out on that day. It was one of the best days of my life and blessed to say after 5 years we're still happy! Along with our 5 years of marriage, we have two beautiful, charasmatic and energetic boys who make it their job to never let us have a dull moment.

To celebrate our anniversary, Kevin planned a surprise day out. A towne car came to pick us up at home and we went Wine Tasting in Temecula. Even though it was just down the street from our home, it was a great way to spend our time with eachother and have a little getaway. Despite the gloomy weather, we had a great time. When isn't Wine Tasting a blast?

First Family Snow Trip of 2010

With all the rain that had gone through Southern California we couldn't wait to see what the mountains that surrounds us had in store. After a week of hard rain, we finally had a week of blue skies, sunshine and plenty of SNOW!
We decided to go to the mountains over Disneyland on Monday. Instead of going to Big Bear where everyone else would be going to ski and snowboard, we decided to go to Idyllwild. It was a 45 minute drive from our house and snow was at about 4500ft. The kids were so excited they did not want to nap on the way up. Here's a picture of us after having a few snowball fights, sled rides and building our family snowman.

Ready or not...2010 is here!

Woah! It's a New Year already? Where did 2009 go so quickly? We must've been really busy for 2010 to have snuck up on us so fast. Well it is true...we were busy last year. And by the looks of it, this year is not getting any less busy for us.

The first 3 months of 2010 are going to be a busy one already. We have 3 weddings to attend and be a part of in the first 5 months. We have mini vacations already planned and all the yearly birthday parties to attend. Whew! I am traveling to Arizona this weekend for some BFF time with Maria and to celebrate her Bachelorette Party. WOO HOO!

My business is still going and going. School starts at the end of January for me. Kevin is traveling to Florida for his yearly meeting in Orlando. Konnor will hopefully be starting Pre-school sometime this year. Where do we have to time R-E-L-A-X?

We rang in the New Year with our favorite people: The Corotan's. Chris, Sherry, Alanna, Amara. Along with Lora and the kids we had a mellow night of eating, drinking, giggling and trying to stay awake. Of course all of the kids were more awake than the adults were. We decided to start a new tradition of ringing in the New Year with the East Coast to minimize the strength it took to stay awake til midnight our time!! =)

My Little Baby turns TWO!!!

Happy Birthday Kameron Ethan McMaster!

Fall's here already???

So I'm a bit behind on blogging. It's been a busy year for everyone, especially with The McMaster's! It's mid October and Christmas will be here before we know it. We're in no way ready for that! The boys will be one year older and that much more wiser!

We've started this October with going to the local pumpkin patch in Murrieta. The boys chose their pumpkins and had fun on the rides and in the petting zoo. Since we started "painting" pumpkins last year we decided to do it again this year. I had an amazing idea to make Yo Gabba Gabba pumpkins which is Kameron's favorite show right now.




I had so much fun. It was a bit time consuming. Konnor painted the pumpkins and I did the detail work. Kameron was so happy when it was all done. He looks at them everyday, names each pumpkin and giggles. I'll let you in on a secret. Brobee (the green striped one) is actually a small watermelon from our backyard! =)

With the pumpkins was also time to choose Halloween costumes. Konnor of course had his mind set on being an Imagination Mover (Disney) and Kameron chose to be DJ Lance Rock (from Yo Gabba Gabba). I was going to make both of their costumes but I was fortunate to find Kameron's at an affordable price. However, Konnor's costume had to be made. The jumpsuit was so hard to find in the US in a kids size. So I had to order it from the UK. I did all the details on the jumpsuit and he was so thrilled. The boys were it the next day to SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular and we got a lot of compliments. Luckily Konnor will be able to wear this costume again when we take him to see Imagination Movers live in concert in December, while we're in Arizona!




We also had a chance to go to the Air Show (10.02.069) this year. We thought the boys would really enjoy it. And they sure did!
