Konnor is 16 months old

We can't believe how time flies. We say that every month. Konnor has grown up! He's becoming a big boy more and more. He's starting to become very independent. He is now using more "signs" (sign language). He's eating better now.

He has done well in his "big boy bed". He still sleeps 11 hours straight at night.

Some of his new doings:

• Can sign "more"
• Can sign "eat"
• Can climb down the stairs
• Is eating more vegetables
• Still not eating much "red meat"
• Loves taking my pots and pans and use them as drums
• Loves kissing his "baby" in Mommy's tummy (even tries to feed the baby whatever he's eating)
• Says "up"
• Says "apple"

So far he's having a great summer. We started swim lessons again on July 2nd. A little earlier than last year. He's still very comfortable in the water. He loves it. He's gone to several amusement parks already this summer. He has so much fun, no matter what he does.

Father's Day

We were in Fairfield for Father's Day. We had brunch with the family at the Officer's Club on Travis AFB.

Konnor's 15 month Well Baby Check Up

Today Konnor had his 15month well baby check up. He hadn't been to the Dr. since his 12month check up. Everything was on target! He's weighing 24.5 lbs, a little above 50 percentile. He's measuring 32 inches, which is in his 75 percentile. Dr. says everything looks good and he's definitely growing! He only had to get one vaccine shot and he's caught up until his 24 month check up. He did well when he got the shot. He didn't cry at all. Of course, cause he had a lollipop in his mouth to keep him busy.

After the Dr. we went to lunch with Auntie Ces. It's been about 2 months since we last went to lunch with her. We try to make it a point to get together for lunch or dinner as much as we can. It was a quick lunch because she had to get back to a meeting but also because Konnor was being so antsy.

We got home and had some nap/rest time. With the hot weather, I've been getting more tired and exhausted without even doing anything.

2nd Prenatal Appointment - 12 weeks

This morning we started the day early. Had to take Daddy's car for servicing before our trip up to the Bay Area. What should've only been 2 hours, ended up being 4 hours and then some. They eventually gave us a rental car since the service guy saw how much Konnor was getting irritable. We headed home for a nap before I had to go to my OB appt.

First thing when we got to my appointment is we checked my weight and my blood pressure. Amazingly, I had only gained less than half a pound! I was terrified to get weighed because I felt like I had gained much more already. My blood pressure was also down. When the Dr. came in he too said how impressed he was about my weight gain. He says he would like me to try to maintain my weight for the next few weeks. We listened to the Baby's heartbeat on the doppler. Sounded great! 155. In 4 weeks we will have my next appointment and also be able to find out the sex of Baby McMaster #2!!!! YAY! Just in time before leave for Canada.
